Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly-skilled Private Equity Principal. The Private Equity Principal will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities, executing transactions, and managing portfolio companies. The ideal candidate has a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and a demonstrated track record in private equity investing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and Analyze Investment Opportunities: Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities in line with the fund's strategy.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough financial and business due diligence on potential investments.
  • Transaction Execution: Lead all aspects of transaction execution, including financial modeling, deal structuring, and negotiations.
  • Portfolio Management: Work with management teams of portfolio companies to create and execute strategic initiatives, monitor performance, and implement value creation plans.
  • Exit Strategies: Develop and implement exit strategies for investments to maximize returns.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, intermediaries, and potential business partners.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage teams of junior investment professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Compliance: Ensure all investment activities comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Fundraising Support: Assist in fundraising efforts for new funds.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
    • Excellent negotiation and deal structuring abilities.
    • Proven ability to manage and grow portfolio companies.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
