BASIC PURPOSE: Execute strategic sourcing projects for the assigned category to take advantage of savings opportunities across the Company.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE: 2-4 years of strategic sourcing experience or procurement consulting experience.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Demonstrated success of leading project teams to achieving quantifiable savings by applying sourcing methods. Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive change in a global decentralized organization with minimal supervision. Strong project management skills and results oriented. Excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated success in gathering data, conducting analyses, and generating high quality outputs. Strong negotiation management experience. Knowledge of eProcurement and eCatalog management systems is a plus. First hand working knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology is essential. Technical knowledge and expertise in certain commodity areas is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Ariba Sourcing, eRFX and eAuction experience preferred. Analytical, influencing, facilitating, teambuilding, strategic thinking, and process-driven skills.
