Schedule:

Tuesday - Saturday, 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Salary:

$32-36/hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Precisely and accurately conduct a variety of routine and specialized histology procedures.
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve histology-related inquiries and problems.
• Prepare microscopic slides on human tissue for research/diagnostic purposes, including processing, embedding, microtomy, and mounting.
• Maintain quality control and assurance procedures while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Organize and maintain laboratory reagents (stains, alcohols, paraffins).
• Accession and process specimens, including manual and computerized data entry.
• Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and report any irregularities.
• Train personnel and contribute to workflow and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in science
• HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) certification preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a high-complexity clinical laboratory, preferably in molecular diagnostics
