Senior Accountant

New York, NY

Our client is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their accounting team. You’ll work closely with the Controller and have exposure across the business. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting along with five years of general accounting, a/p, a/r, heavy reconciliations experience. This is a great opportunity to join a company where you can quickly add value. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a salary up to $90,000 plus a benefits package that includes paid time off, 401k and health, dental and vision coverage.

Responsibilities for the Accountant job include:

• Compile and analyze financial data for general ledger entries
• Responsible for various reconciliations of accounts
• A/P and A/R reconciliations
• Extensive interaction across the business, working with multiple department managers
• Involvement in ad hoc projects as necessary

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Five or more years of accounting experience; public and/or corporate experience
• Strong technical aptitude, must know Pivot Tables, Lookups in Excel
• Experience with NetSuite preferred, but not required
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Outgoing personality and ability to work well across multiple departments
