Production Intern

Reports To: Continuous Improvement Analyst
Direct Reports: None
FLSA Status: Non-exempt (Eligible for OT)
Employment Type: Internship
Position Overview: The Production Intern will assist the Continuous Improvement Analyst to actively analyze operational strategies with a focus on planning and implementing improvements.  They will complete one project of their choosing, with the assistance of the Continuous Improvement Analyst.  The project will consist of a current vs final state report, an action plan, and final ROI report which will be presented to the NSA-Arkansas management team.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Assist production supervisors with daily reporting.
  • Assist continuous improvement analyst developing methods of production reporting.
  • Assist production supervisors in sub-assembly and assembly develop job aides.
  • Work with production supervisors to help develop computer skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Non-Essential Job Functions:
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with leaders and peers.
  • Maintain a positive outlook and a high level of enthusiasm.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Training: Necessary training will be provided on the job.
Qualifications:
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Major in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Overall GPA 3.0 or better.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for duration of day and walk frequently.
