Summary :

An International IT Support and Solutions serving the automotive industry is seeking a forward-thinking and highly experienced Network Security Engineer to become a critical member of our Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity team. In this role, you will lead efforts to fortify and secure network devices within our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. By leveraging advanced security tools and cutting-edge technologies, you'll ensure our network infrastructure is not only safeguarded but also aligned with industry best practices and operational standards. This role demands a collaborative mindset, as you will act as an internal subject matter expert, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deploy effective, risk-conscious security measures that prioritize both production continuity and minimized risk exposure.

Responsibilities

1. Security Architecture & System Implementation:

• Design robust security frameworks tailored specifically for network devices operating in manufacturing environments, ensuring compliance with operational technology (OT) requirements, and adhering to global security standards.
• Conduct in-depth security evaluations and simulate attacks (penetration testing) on network devices to pinpoint vulnerabilities and propose prioritized, actionable remediation strategies.

2. Device Hardening & Risk Reduction:

• Engineer and deploy innovative techniques for hardening network devices while maintaining seamless production processes— balancing security and operational efficiency .
• Adopt and apply next-generation security models such as:
• Micro-segmentation for isolating sensitive network assets.
• Zero-trust principles to verify access rigorously.
• SASE frameworks for integrating secure and efficient connectivity solutions.

3. Collaborative Cybersecurity Deployment:

• Partner closely with the networking team and various cross-functional units to harmonize security measures with the existing infrastructure, embracing a cohesive cybersecurity ecosystem .
• Translate sophisticated security protocols into actionable, easy-to-understand steps for both technical specialists and non-technical stakeholders—fostering a company-wide culture of security awareness .

4. Proactive Network Monitoring & Incident Preparedness:

• Use cutting-edge security tools and monitoring solutions to identify, analyze, and respond promptly to potential security threats or irregularities in network traffic.
• Devise and refine incident response frameworks , ensuring efficient and rapid containment of emerging threats while minimizing impact on manufacturing operations.

5. Continuous Learning and Process Innovation:

• Stay ahead of the curve by actively researching and implementing new security technologies , strategies, and methodologies aligned with the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
• Lead training sessions, workshops, or knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance the expertise of the cybersecurity team and ensure compliance with emerging OT cybersecurity trends.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is required. Advanced degrees are a plus.
• Professional Experience : Demonstrable experience in fortifying network devices and infrastructure within industrial or manufacturing ecosystems, with a specialized focus on OT cybersecurity challenges and solutions.
• Technical Proficiency :
• Expertise in advanced threat detection systems, malware prevention, and security solutions.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework , ISA/IEC 62443 , and relevant industrial standards.
• Certifications : Holding certifications like CEH, GICSP, CCNP Security, CCNA or similar credentials is highly preferred.
• Communication & Analytical Abilities : Strong capability to distill complex technical concepts into digestible formats for diverse audiences. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and an adaptive mindset are critical.
