Summary:
The planner is responsible for developing and managing maintenance plans, ensuring efficient operation of equipment and facilities, and optimizing maintenance resources.
Essential Functions:
▪ Create maintenance schedules and work orders coordinating maintenance staff and other departments to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
▪ Estimate labor and parts costs for equipment and repairs
▪ Maintain parts inventory and order as needed
▪ Create procedural manuals that detail standardized work
▪ Prioritize work orders based on costs, available resources, and asset criticality.
▪ Coordinate maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors.
▪ Maintain records, files for maintenance department management and record keeping requirements.
▪ Act as a liaison between maintenance and operations.
▪ Work independently and provide direction to others.
▪ Recognize opportunities for process improvements.
▪ Effective communication and organization skills
▪ Clear understanding of preventative maintenance techniques.
▪ Above average computer skills
Qualifications:
▪ High school diploma or GED or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
▪ Proficient in Excel; specifically creating charts, graphs, and formulas
