About the Company - KellTech Services, LLC provides Information Technology consulting and services for small and mid-sized businesses. Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, we provide both on-demand and managed services in central Florida and also a growing Texas market. We offer expertise and solutions in Microsoft 365 and Cloud applications, network virtualization, Hyper-V, LAN & WAN networking, server planning, installation, support, and network and physical security implementation. Additionally, we assist with data backup and disaster recovery planning, software and database installation and support, and corporate I.T. policy development.

About the Role - This is a hybrid role for an Information Technology support generalist based in Austin, Texas area. The position will be home-based but require travel to customer's locations as needed for on-site support. The role involves day-to-day tasks such as providing user helpdesk, technical support, troubleshooting issues, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, assisting with the installation and maintenance of software and hardware, and delivering excellent customer service. The technician may also be responsible for training users on system functionalities and best practices. Bonuses available for new client acquisition.

Responsibilities -

  • Providing user helpdesk and technical support to clients
  • Troubleshooting issues
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems
  • Assisting with the installation and maintenance of software and hardware
  • Delivering excellent customer service
  • Training users on system functionalities and best practices
  • Independently managing tickets, tracking time and updating notes

Qualifications - A two or four-year degree is preferred, but equivalent job experience will be considered. A minimum of 1 year professional experience supporting users with some back-end administration is required. I.T. certifications are strongly considered.

Required Skills -

  • Ability to work independently and stay focused when working from home and with minimal supervision
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities - researching and finding solutions for clients
  • Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills (i.e. E-mail, Desktop, Internet, Mobile device and other issues)
  • Proficiency in Information Technology systems and solutions (e.g., Microsoft servers and cloud products, routers and firewalls, etc.)
  • Experience in providing users with step-by-step instructions on common usage procedures
  • Experience with back-end user administration either on physical servers or in the Cloud
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred but related experience will be considered
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects/requests
  • Reliable transportation is required
  • Flexible work schedule - occasional evening, weekend or emergency work may be required
  • English fluency is required. Bi-lingual skills are a bonus.

Candidates will be expected to pass a background check and must have a valid U.S. driver's license and reliable, independent transportation.
