Sussman Law Firm, PLLC is located in Charlotte, North Carolina, and offers legal services primarily in the area of family law and immigration law. However, we also handle a variety of other issues. We are not your typical law firm. We are poised for growth, and we are looking for an Associate Attorney who can hit the ground running and provide clients with outstanding legal representation.

The Job

We are looking for a hardworking, experienced attorney to help take our growing law firm to the next level! The primary responsibilities of an Associate Attorney include, but are not limited to:

• Meeting with prospective clients and current clients and developing case strategies.
• Preparing and attending court appearances.
• Drafting letters and pleadings.
• Reaching billing requirements
• Generating new cases.
• Traveling to surrounding counties, if needed.
• Delegating work to paralegals and legal assistants and monitoring their work.
• Mentoring and inspiring other team members.

The Essentials

• Being fluent in English and Spanish is preferred.
• You must be a member of the North Carolina State Bar and in good standing.
• You must have two (2) or more years of legal experience as an attorney, preferably in the area of family law.
• You must show initiative and have the capacity to handle cases and clients independently (after a period of orientation and monitored work).
• You must have strong communication, research, and writing skills.
• You must be willing to work hard to ensure that our clients receive top-notch client service and results.
• You must be a positive and uplifting person. If you see the glass as being half full, you are the type of person we are looking for!
• You must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
• You must be willing to go the extra mile to get the job done right the first time.
• You must be a team player. We are strong believers in the team approach and our office is a team environment.
• You must be able to talk to people in a manner that is polite, educated, and puts them at ease.
• Skills and experience are important and valued, but personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important considerations.

Pay

$75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year plus bonuses
