Position Description:

The Distribution Center Manager oversees all warehouse associates and departments.

  • Manage warehouse associates; scheduling, monitoring metrics, inventory control & ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment
  • Set warehouse team goals in alignment with company goals
  • Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives
  • Manage shipping supplies and maintenance of warehouse equipment
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices
  • Onboard and train new associates
  • Mange warehouse safety program and ensure a safety-first culture
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Key Metrics: error/fill rates, shipment/employee ratio, daily cycle counts, safety

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems
  • Analytical- can review data and implement strategies and procedures to improve warehouse quality, efficiency, and performance
  • 2-3 years of experience in a distribution center required
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience or knowledge of door hardware highly preferred

While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and drive or ride in a motor vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. Must have the ability to travel, sometimes with short notice.
