Quality Supervisor

2nd Shift (2pm-10:30pm

$60-$70k plus OT pay

Aegis Worldwide is proud to partner with a reputable manufacturing company based in Elwood, IN in search of a Quality Supervisor to join their growing team! This 2nd shift opportunity is ideal for someone with a quality leadership experience overseeing direct reports, ensuring compliance (FDA, OSHA, HACCPT, GMP), and identifying product quality discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct the Quality Assurance team to ensure consistent implementation of quality policies, specifications, procedures, and practices.
• Support production and processing departments in maintaining and improving product quality by ensuring adherence to product specifications and SOPs.
• Monitor and audit compliance with manufacturing, warehousing, and sanitation policies related to product quality.
• Assist in the evaluation and disposition of non-conforming products or supplies.
• Oversee documentation and records for the Food Safety Plan, Food Quality Plan, and all prerequisite programs.
• Take appropriate action in response to quality or food safety deviations, ensuring timely resolution.
• Report any food safety or quality issues to upper management promptly.
• Continuously work to improve quality systems and practices across departments in alignment with company standards.

Qualifications:

• 4 year degree preferred in either the following or a related technical discipline: Food Science, Food Processing
• Certifications not required, however, certifications in the following areas are valuable: Food Sanitation, HAACP, Better Food Processing
• 2 years’ experience - Management/Leadership in Food Processing, Quality Assurance or Sanitation environment
• Computer knowledge required
• Trouble-shooting capabilities for lab equipment preferred
