Title: Datacenter Facilities Technician

Location: Palo, Alto, CA

Job type: Contract to Hire

SUMMARY

:Our direct client is looking for a hands-on, self-directed engineering technician to operate and maintain the facility systems serving supercomputing datacenter builds

.
RESPONSIBILITIE

S:Operational expert for mechanical system at the Dojo facilities. The mechanical systems and equipment can include pumps, piping, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH units, et
c.Available for occasional on-site emergency calls nights and weeken
dsPerform daily inspections of critical system
s.Develop preventative maintenance plans. Drive the execution of both preventative and emergency maintenance for facility equipmen
t.Collaborate with building facilities team to ensure reliability of building facilities systems impacting Dojo space
s.Identify and maintain spare parts inventory to minimize downtim
e.Coordinate and supervise scheduled system shutdown
s.Develop and implement energy monitoring metric
s.Support commissioning efforts by witnessing equipment startup, assisting with functional testing, and monitoring construction progres

QUALIFICATIO

NS:5+ years of hands-on operations or facilities work experience. Data center experience is preferr
ed.Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and syst
emsStrong troubleshooting ski
llsExperience with PLC-based control systems and/or with Building Management Systems (Clie
nt)Ability to communicate clea
