The team at Coastline is looking to hire a Creative Content Strategist at their Long Beach corporate headquarters and look to find an enthusiastic candidate to round out the team.

Purpose:

As a Creative Content Strategist, you will be responsible for developing and executing content strategies that engage and inform our target audience. You will create high-quality content that supports our marketing goals and enhances our brand presence. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to produce compelling content that drives lead generation and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy Development: Develop and implement content strategies for B2B marketing campaigns. Align content with overall marketing goals and strategies.
  • Content Creation: Create engaging and informative content (blog posts, customer stories, newsletters, social media posts), compelling social media content (graphics, videos, written copy), and podcast series.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Use marketing analytics to collect and analyze data from various sources (social media, website metrics).
  • SEO Optimization: Optimize content for SEO to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic.
  • Social Media Management: Manage and maintain social media accounts across various platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn). Monitor social media trends and stay up to date with industry best practices. Oversee the scheduling of posts across different social media channels.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with the marketing team and sales team to create content that supports lead generation and sales efforts. Assist with marketing projects and coordinate promotional events or digital campaigns.
  • Creative Development: Brainstorm creative ideas for advertising campaigns.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Additional relevant certifications (e.g., Google Analytics) preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in social media marketing. Proven experience as a content creator, copywriter, or similar role in a B2B environment.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with graphic design tools, software, and web design. Proficiency in social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok. Experience with content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation tools.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Media Knowledge: Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools. Strong project management skills and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the heavy machinery or equipment industry.
  • Budgeting: Experience with paid social media advertising and budget management.

Work Environment

  • Location: Ability to work in our Corporate Headquarters in Long Beach, CA.
  • Physical Demands: Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. May occasionally require standing or moving between office areas.
