Background Successful candidates will work within a consulting practice or a financial institution providing challenging project-based services within Financial Services, covering areas such as electronic markets, trading, and risk management. Projects can be performed either on the client site on a Hybrid work basis. Job Description Seeking a proactive, team-oriented C++ developer with a strong focus on results. This hands-on role requires strong C++ and SQL skills. The role is a mix of initiatives and BAU work, requiring 3 days in-office presence. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize C++ applications for trading systems, risk management, and analytics. Collaborate with traders, quants, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and create effective solutions. Implement and enhance trading algorithms, execution strategies, and real-time data processing functionalities. Conduct code reviews and ensure high coding standards and best practices within the team. Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime. Stay updated on industry trends, trading technologies, and financial instruments to inform development efforts. Qualifications: ~ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. ~5+ years of proven experience as a C++ Developer, preferably in the capital markets or trading domain. ~ Strong understanding of trading systems, financial products, and market operations. ~ Experience with real-time data processing and high-frequency trading strategies is a plus. ~ Familiarity with development tools and methodologies (e.g., Git, Agile, TDD). ~ Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization techniques. ~ Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Skills: Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) is a plus. Knowledge of market data feeds and APIs (e.g., FIX protocol). Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
