Job Description

The ideal candidate will weld pressure vessels, piping systems, and structural components in accordance with ASME Section IX standards. This role requires high-quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a strong safety mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG, MIG, pulse and Flux core applications on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys.
  • Weld according to ASME Section IX and AWS codes requirements , including pressure vessel and piping work.
  • Interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
  • Conduct pre-weld and post-weld inspections; ensure welds meet specifications and tolerances.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain ASME weld logs and documentation as required by quality assurance procedures.
  • Assist with fitting, grinding, and assembly of components as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with quality control and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Comply with all safety and quality policies.

Requirements:

  • Current ASME Certification
  • 3+ years of industrial or heavy fabrication welding experience.
  • Proficient with blueprint reading and welding symbol interpretation.
  • Ability to pass welding performance tests and visual/dimensional inspections.
  • Familiarity with fabrication tools (grinders, saws, clamps, etc.).
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to producing quality work.
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience welding pressure vessels or industrial piping.
  • AWS D1.1 or D1.6 certification a plus.
  • Forklift or overhead crane experience.
  • Ability to work overtime or weekends as needed.
