Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing the invoicing lifecycle, from creation to payment, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.

What You'll Do:

• Master our systems: Efficiently use internal accounting and CRM platforms to process transactions accurately
• Manage invoicing: Create, process, and track customer invoices to ensure timely and accurate billing
• Handle payments: Apply payments, maintain accounts receivable records, and follow up on overdue invoices
• Resolve discrepancies: Work closely with the sales team to address invoice issues and customer inquiries
• Communicate effectively: Respond promptly and professionally to a high volume of emails and stakeholder requests
• Ensure accuracy: Conduct account reconciliations and support month-end/year-end closing activities
• Drive insights: Generate reports on receivables, aging, and payment trends to inform business decisions
• Maintain compliance: Adhere to financial policies, support audits, and ensure regulatory standards are met
• Optimize processes: Identify and implement workflow improvements for greater efficiency

What You Bring:

• Technical Expertise : Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and basic formulas
• Adaptability : Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new financial systems, tools, and cloud-based collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365)
• Analytical Mindset : Detailed, organized, and analytical approach to work, with a passion for problem-solving and outstanding time and process management to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication to build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively in a strong team environment
• Flexibility : Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks without letting anything slip through the cracks
• Compliance Knowledge : Adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and familiarity with technical subscription billing (a plus)
• Leadership Potential: Experience or ability to guide and support a team, fostering collaboration and high performance
