As a member of JD Finish Line’s People Department, the Sr. HR Compliance Analyst will support the organization through the administration and development of HR compliance programs and policies to prevent legal risk and ensure compliance with employment laws. This role serves as a credible and trusted advisor to the People Department and business leaders, leveraging experience, expertise, organizational awareness, business acumen, a pragmatic mindset and a strong ability to effectively partner with and influence others. Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience. 4-6 years progressive experience in HR compliance/employment law field, or combination of experience in HR compliance and another functional human resources area, including talent management, learning & development, and/or talent acquisition (with at least 3 years experience focused on employment law/HR compliance). Extensive experience and knowledge providing U.S. federal, state, and local employment law counseling and guidance on day-to-day operational and compliance issues, policies, and processes. Extensive experience reviewing and drafting HR policies and procedures, and advising on compliance issues and solutions in multiple jurisdictions.
Required Computer and/or Technical Skills
Should have basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Google Suite and Microsoft Products, including: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as a working understanding of functions and relationships of information in HRIS.
