Role: Solar Installer

Location: New York City Area

Compensation: $25.00 to $40.00 per hour, plus overtime

Job Overview

Our client, an established and rapidly growing renewable energy provider, is looking to bring on a Solar Installer to support the company’s growing demand for residential solar installations. This person will be a key member of their solar division in supporting the efficient and timely completion of solar installations. This Solar Installer role is a full-time, permanent position with our client.

Job Responsibilities

• Following all manufacturer guidelines, installing racking and railing equipment, inverters and other electrical equipment, solar modules, and any other mechanical or structural mounting systems for PV arrays
• Completing the electrical wiring of solar arrays and BOS (balance of systems) equipment
• Taking pictures and documenting all work completed and uploading the data to the internal company database
• Ensuring all safety standards are met and adhered to

Successful Candidates Must Have:

• At least 2 years of experience with the installation of residential solar systems
• Best practice knowledge for roofing
• The ability to work at heights and in extreme environments
• The ability to lift heavy materials up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• A valid driver’s license
