Job Description

Location: Remote or Hybrid (NYC Preferred)

Compensation: $80K - $120K (Full-Time) | $50-$100/hr (Contract)

Experience Level: Mid to Senior (3-6+ years in Shopify Development, UI/UX, and E-Commerce)

To achieve this, we are looking for a Shopify Web Developer who can combine front-end development, UI/UX design expertise, and Shopify customization to enhance our e-commerce platform. You’ll work closely with our Head of Digital Product & E-Commerce to implement high-converting design elements, improve site speed, and optimize the overall digital experience. If you are a Shopify expert with a passion for luxury e-commerce, UI/UX design, and coding high-performance, conversion-driven web experiences, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Develop & Maintain Shopify Customizations

  • Build and maintain custom Shopify themes with clean, efficient code.
  • Implement Shopify Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to create new site features and design elements.
  • Develop custom landing pages & sections tailored for lead generation and high-ticket sales.

Enhance UI/UX & Improve Conversion Optimization

  • Work closely with the Head of Digital Product to implement UI/UX improvements that increase conversions.
  • Optimize mobile-first design for seamless high-end shopping experiences.
  • Implement A/B testing experiments to refine product pages, form placements, and checkout flows.

Improve Site Performance & Speed

  • Optimize page load speeds, lazy loading, and image compression to enhance site performance.
  • Reduce code bloat and improve Shopify site architecture for better user experience.
  • Troubleshoot bugs, checkout errors, and performance bottlenecks.

Support Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Integrate heatmaps, session tracking, and analytics tools to help improve the shopping journey.
  • Provide insights on user behavior and site interactions to drive better product and design decisions.
  • Implement lead capture tracking & attribution tools to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 3-6+ years in Shopify development, UI/UX design, and e-commerce optimization.
  • Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks.
  • Experience in building custom Shopify themes & modifying existing themes.
  • Strong UI/UX design skills, with a focus on optimizing user flows and mobile experience.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus, API integrations, and performance optimizations.
  • Familiarity with conversion optimization, heatmaps, and A/B testing tools.
