Retirement Plan Services (RPS) Relationship Manager

Job Summary:

The candidate will be a strategic partner to our clients by collaborating with the sponsor on plan design, investment, retirement readiness, fees, and service. Develop and deliver participant education strategy to the plan sponsor and employees in group and 1:1 settings using onsite and/or virtual formats, including enrollment meetings, periodic account check-ups, and retirement planning. Proactively reaches out to consult on distribution options and possible rollover when participants retire or change jobs. Assists Retirement Plan Sales Team with benchmarking for prospective clients. As a private wealth management book is established, the candidate will be responsible for the servicing of those individual clients. This position works under the direction of the VP of Sales and Marketing. This position regularly interacts with clients, all company departments, vendors, and CSA team to acquire new clients and service existing clients to benefit from increased use of the company’s services.

Responsibilities:

Plan/Participant Relationship Management

Plan Onboarding

  • Acts as a liaison between, plan sponsor, recordkeeper, advisor and TPA during account transition
  • Attends all transition calls with recordkeeper implementation team
  • Follows up with Plan Sponsors as needed for missing information or documentation
  • Collaborates with TPA in plan design discussions

Plan Review

  • Creates and maintains RPAG Service Plan for all assigned plans
  • Utilizes Plan Review Agenda Template
  • Creates RPAG Fiduciary Investment Review (FIR) annually
  • Creates Prism Fee Benchmark annually
  • Creates RPAG Benchmark Report at least every 3 years
  • Creates RPAG Meeting Minutes
  • Documents meeting in CRM using “RPS Plan Review” note template

Participant Services

  • Conducts Group Education meetings
  • Conducts enrollment meetings
  • Conducts 1:1 participant meetings
  • Documents participant interactions in CRM using “RPS 1:1 Participant Meeting” or “RPS Group Participant Meeting” note templates
  • Proactively communicates with terminated participants to assist with rollovers

Retirement Plan Services Sales

  • Obtains necessary census and investment information from prospective plan sponsors for benchmarking of plan
  • Builds RPAG Benchmarking Reports for prospective plan sponsors
  • Delivers summary of RPAG Benchmarking Reports to plan sponsors
  • Tracks sales cycle in HubSpot
  • Documents interactions with prospects in HubSpot and Redtail as appropriate
  • Informs RPS CSA of referral source

Private Wealth Management Sales

  • Builds PWM book of business from interactions with RPS participants
  • Meets revenue and AUM goals
  • Documents interactions with prospects in HubSpot and Redtail as appropriate

Private Wealth Management Client Service

  • Satisfies annual client review
  • Documents all interactions using either Mobile Assistant or Redtail
  • Maintains continuing education needs for all licenses held

Team Support

  • Establishes and maintains regular meeting cadence with RPS Sales Team / RPS CSA
  • Attends and participates in department and individual meetings with VP of Sales and Marketing
  • Attends and participates in team meetings
  • Attends industry appropriate conferences and reports back to team with knowledge gained
  • Maintains positive and professional relationships with all departments to resolve issues and complete projects

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience and success in defined contribution consulting, including plan design, compliance, and administration and management of client relationships
  • Must hold FINRA Securities Registrations (Series 7 and 63, 65 and/or 66), and be willing to obtain any additional required designations within first year of employment
  • Life, Accident & Health License preferred
  • Working knowledge and practical experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
  • Experience with CRM software (Redtail, HubSpot, etc.) and/or Agency Management System software (Applied Epic) preferred
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgement, professional, confidentiality and good decision-making skills
  • Analytical ability is required to interpret data and situations that are somewhat complex
  • Must be able to effectively organize and prioritize a high volume of work
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Works with regular supervision and requires exercise of independent judgement
  • Approximately 20% local travel will be required

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (Hybrid Work Options Available)
