We are currently searching for a Promotions Coordinator to join our Buying department in Encino. This position will provide direct assistance to the Director of Center Store and Director of Merchandising Operations.

Responsibilities:

The Promotions Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Center Store and Director of Merchandising Operations to coordinate the execution of in-store displays and advertising vehicles for all Center Store departments. Key accountability is to support the departments' financial goals related to sales and gross margin.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and plan all scheduled store displays and advertising vehicles including Newsletters, Weekly Wows and Rewards programs.
  • Compile and organize promotional offers for in-store displays into the system.
  • Plan out and schedule in-store displays including end displays, side displays, islands and outdoor displays.
  • Enter and maintain all scheduled displays into the Promotional Managements system.
  • Communicate scheduled displays to Category Manager teams, suppliers and stores on a weekly basis.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of "themed" events to include displays and ads in coordination with marketing and fresh teams.
  • Evaluate current procedures and develop more efficient processes for planning displays and ads.
  • Coordinate proper display signage and manage display sign orders.
  • Coordinate Ad/Newsletter planning; attend planning meetings and proof versions of all advertising.
  • Utilize analytical reports to evaluate display and advertising effectiveness through dollar sales, units, transactions and gross profit dollars.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • College degree in Business Management, Marketing, Retailing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of retail support experience.
  • Experience in financial analysis, marketing, inventory management, and sourcing is preferable.
  • Retail and/or supermarket field experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the food industry and the ability to understand item attributes required.
  • Ability to evaluate a process, propose and execute improvements and efficiencies.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Highly proficient computer skills in all MS Office applications.
  • Some travel between store locations and office’s required.

Salary range: $70,000 - $75,000
