Project Developer | Hybrid, Houston TX | Utility Scale Solar & BESS Owner Operator

We're partnered with a high pedigree and extremely well funded developer looking to transition into an owner operator. With a current development pipeline of 20GW+, you would be managing multiple projects across different phases of the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop viable and economically sustainable new and existing solar and BESS projects at the megawatt scale from site identification through the start of construction
• Managing the zoning and permitting efforts with local and regional government entities, coordinating and complying with the results from environmental studies, understanding surface and subsurface land rights in order to ensure compliance across the full spectrum of development activities.
• Select, manage, and direct third party consultants and development partners by generating proposals, quotes, and formal RFP responses
• Develop target scope of work for a cross-functional team and ensure projects are progressing on schedule and within budget
• Remain abreast of renewable energy opportunities in the United States and the national industry trends impacting the future of solar and renewable development opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
• Strong knowledge of the solar and BESS with 3-5 years of project development experience in similar /adjacent project development context
• Ability to manage external business relationships with a customer first focus
• Houston located
