Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for Project Controls Scheduler.

Hybrid Schedule (2 days remote, 3 days in office)

Location: Detroit, Mi

We are seeking a detail-oriented and initiative-taking Project Controls Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules. This position requires strong project management skills, familiarity with construction management software, and the ability to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.

Duties

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules using Primavera, Preferably P6.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to gather necessary information for scheduling.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes or delays.
  • Prepare regular reports on project status, highlighting any potential issues or risks that may impact timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and maintain accurate documentation related to scheduling.
  • Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with construction management teams to ensure alignment between scheduling and project execution.

Requirements

  • Knowledge in design scheduling, construction scheduling, program scheduling, and cost & resource loading. This includes developing detailed WBS, milestones, activities definition, logical sequences, durations, activity dependencies, and interdependencies, and activity contingences.
  • Understanding of schedule models and methods, schedule models and methods, schedule quality analysis, schedule strategy, schedule integration techniques, Monto Carlo Analysis, schedule performance analysis techniques, etc.
  • Proven experience in project scheduling management or a related field, particularly within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of contract specifications and the ability to interpret complex documents.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • A background in construction management is preferred but not mandatory.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field & 3+ years of job-relevant experience.
  • Associate’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, Accounting, Math, or related field & 5+ years of job-relevant experience.
  • High School or GE, & 7+ years of job-relevant experience.
