Job Description

Detail-oriented, reliable, creative team player to lead field walk-downs and evaluations of piping systems, design equipment layouts, and develop piping work packages with Plant 3D.

• Lead field evaluation and measurement/survey coordination of piping systems.
• Equipment layouts and piping system design.
• Design piping plans & elevations and 2D or 3D piping isometric & spool drawings.
• Interpret and apply client and industry standards and specifications.
• Quality Control of drawings produced by others.
• Coordinate with other disciplines.
• Participate in client meetings.
• Drive to develop business applications for emerging technologies.
• Lead in developing piping specialty item specification criteria.
• Mentoring less experienced designers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-year technical degree.
• 0-5 years of experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with 2D&3D design, Point Cloud integration, ASME B31.3 & B31.1, technical specifications of specialty items.
• Exposure to Navisworks, Bluebeam, and API Codes preferred.
• Management: Basic mentoring/small team technical oversight required.
• Other Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic estimating.
