Insurance Defense Lead Paralegal – 3-5 Years of Experience

Hightower, Stratton, Novigrod & Kantor is a renowned law firm specializing in defense cases. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to join our team at our West Palm Beach office.

Are you an experienced Insurance Defense Lead Paralegal looking for an opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected law firm? We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive paralegal with 3-5 years of insurance defense experience to support our litigation team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with all aspects of case management , from inception to trial.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, discovery requests, subpoenas, and pleadings .
• Organize and manage large volumes of documents, including medical records, deposition transcripts, and trial exhibits .
• Coordinate and schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials .
• Assist in trial preparation , including preparing trial binders, witness lists, and exhibit files.
• Conduct legal research and summarize depositions, expert reports, and medical records.
• Manage expert witnesses, including scheduling, document preparation, and communication.
• Handle electronic court filings (E-Filing) in both state and federal courts.
• Track billable time and ensure compliance with law firm billing practices.
• Work independently while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal in an insurance defense law firm .
• Strong knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and E-Filing procedures.
• Experience handling trial preparation and litigation support .
• Ability to summarize legal records and bills .
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and case management software.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Paralegal certification or equivalent experience is preferred.
