  • Must understand how to put together an estimate and be able to teach how to put it together.
  • Must understand how to Forecast Labor and teach how to Forecast Labor

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Operations Trainer is to train employees in all IES Communications software systems and processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to work procedures, work flow, and reports; understanding job-specific functions and tasks
  2. Evaluates training by assessing effectiveness of training to specific job applications
  3. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing program specific standards
  4. Implement training processes and best practices that add value and improve business performance
  5. Ensure all personnel have required access and understand what their role requires within the systems that IES functions in
  6. Provide instruction and eLearning guides for new features as they are launched
  7. Development of comprehensive training materials for both classroom and eLearning experiences
  8. Confirm staff understands how to correctly use systems and provide precise reporting to management
  9. As needed, provide one on one training sessions to employees with questions and/or issues working in the various systems
  • Provide refresher trainings as necessary
  • Work with Training, Process and IT Management to identify any issues and correct any training materials
  • Ensure precise processes are being communicated in a timely manner
  • Gather feedback from teams to improve trainings and processes
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Must have proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
  • Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and lead others to create, develop, implement and review project process improvement(s).
  • Must be an expert in the Company’s management systems.
  • Must able to travel within the United States as needed.

Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:

  • Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience at IES working in a PMA or higher- level role.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of job costing, job planning, quality management, safety training and contract administration.
  • Must be proficient with IESOS, Spectrum, SharePoint, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project).
  • Working knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory practice preferred
  • Previous professional training preferred
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications
  • Working knowledge of construction process (bid process, project management, delegation, financial etc.)
  • Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
