Virtual School Occupational Therapist

Location: Remote (Serving students in the 29944 area)

Position Type: Contract or Full-Time

Start Date: Immediate / Upcoming School Year

Schedule: Flexible, based on student caseload and district needs

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated, student-centered Virtual School Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality teletherapy services to K–12 students in the 29944 region. The ideal candidate is collaborative, tech-savvy, and committed to supporting students’ functional participation in the educational environment through engaging, evidence-based virtual interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual occupational therapy evaluations, direct therapy, and progress monitoring in accordance with IEP goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support students’ academic access and functional skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, families, and related service providers to integrate OT strategies into daily routines.
• Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to eligibility decisions, and document all services according to district and state guidelines.
• Maintain accurate, timely records, including session notes, reports, goal updates, and compliance paperwork.
• Utilize teletherapy platforms and digital tools to deliver engaging, effective services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current South Carolina OT license (or eligibility to obtain).
• NBCOT certification (OTR).
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred; teletherapy experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, and technology skills.
