Smaller community hospital looking to bring on Director ER!
Reports to the Chief Nursing Officer. Functions as Emergency Department Director, clinical resource person, and responsible for nursing resource utilization, assumes responsibility for Emergency Services Operations for shift worked.
Education: Current licensure as Registered Nurse in the state of Texas. ADN required. BSN recommended.
Experience: 3+ years’ acute care clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting demonstrated leadership as an emergency department Charge nurse. Familiar with scheduling Emergency Department assignments, staffing assignments, acuity systems, and level triage. Developed and presented education sessions. Performed employee evaluations and assisted with orientation of staff. Has experience investigating problems and provides solutions with-in the framework of best practice and nursing process.
Skills: Must have good writing and excellent verbal skills; must present a positive image for the Medical Center; computer skills to include word, excel, and EMR; ability to prioritize tasks, intervene in conflicts. Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member or team leader.
