Key Responsibilities:
• Draft initial sets of loan documentation and negotiate ancillary agreements.
• Review and analyze title commitments, surveys, leases, zoning reports, and opinion letters.
• Manage due diligence and identify lender risk issues during transaction phases.
• Lead status calls and guide junior attorneys and paralegals.
• Collaborate with clients and opposing counsel to resolve real estate finance issues.
Qualifications:
• 4–5 years of experience handling real estate finance matters.
• Juris Doctor from a respected, ABA-accredited law school.
• Member in good standing with the New York State Bar.
• Strong drafting, communication, and negotiation abilities.
• Experience with mezzanine loans, construction financing, or preferred equity is a plus.
Skills:
• Ability to manage complex transactions and lead deal teams with confidence.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication.
• Organized, composed, and collaborative in fast-paced deal environments.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to client needs.
