Front Desk Receptionist/Office Assistant for an Outpatient Physical Therapy Office Wanted. Monday - Friday: 8am - 6pm Hourly pay with benefits. College Degree preferred. • Experience working in a medical office is helpful, but willing to train those who desire to learn. • This position provides customers with a first impression of the clinic. Skills and Responsibilities: • Greet patients • Answer multiple phone lines • Schedule appointments: in person and over the phone • Data entry of patient information, insurance information with 100% accuracy • Ability to communicate effectively: written and verbal • Must have a friendly, helpful attitude • Ability to work independently with little supervision at times • Ability to prioritize a variety of assignments • Strong ability to multitask • Displays composure and sensitivity to the needs of patients • Attention to detail is critical • Collect patient payments in the form of cash, credit cards, check: copays and product purchases • File charts • Chart preparation • Verification of insurance benefits and communicating it with patients • Call missed appointments • Address and mail insurance paper claims • Write Thank You cards to referral sources • Microsoft Office • Google Docs, Google Sheets • Microsoft Office • Type 40+ wpm • Properly represent the company • Promote physical therapy services at the company • Use of Google Voice for text communication with patients • Insurance paperwork: reconcile Insurance Explanation of Benefits Statements • Dispute improperly processed insurance claims with insurance companies • Identify claims that need to be re-billed and/or re-processed • Identify missed billing for dates of services • Assist with collections of outstanding account receivables: patients, attorneys, and insurance companies • Use of Google Sheets to create account balances for patients
