Marketing Specialist

Surge Staffing Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area (On-site)

Overview:

We are looking to bring on board a driven Marketing Specialist to assist our marketing department in their efforts to improve, increase, and promote the Surge service and brand. They will have the opportunity to promote Surge Staffing in various ways and learn how our branding plays a big role in a growing organization.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities:

• Assist the marketing department in coming up with branding ideas, graphic designs, promotional materials, and advertising campaigns through a variety of social, print, and digital platforms.
• Ensure that all materials present a clear, unified, and positive image for the organization and/or brand.
• Develop and create marketing materials, such as sales, product collateral, and social media graphics, while ensuring brand guidelines and messaging are met.
• Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of digital and social campaigns.
• Assist the print designer with projects, such as brochures, sales slicks, and posters, created for our national offices.
• Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new marketing opportunities.
• Analysis of customer research, current market conditions, and competitor information.
• Collaborates with other internal departments as needed to develop strategic marketing initiatives.
• Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different mediums.
• Assist the marketing supervisor in tasks where needed.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Graphic Design, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in marketing.
• Experience in using Adobe Creative Cloud ( InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop ), Canva, or similar design tools.
• Experience with Social Media Marketing (Meta Ads, LinkedIn, etc.) and social media tools (Hootsuite, SEMrush, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Skilled in writing and editing content with an attention to detail.
• Must be able to multi-task and work on various projects at once.
• Strong prioritization and time-management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
