Addison Group is partnering with a well-established engineering firm in the Chantilly area to hire a Logistics Assistant. This is a full-time, onsite position supporting warehouse and operational logistics. Our client is known for managing large-scale, technical construction projects and values reliability, teamwork, and accuracy in their staff.

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Assistant to join our client’s warehouse team. The ideal candidate will assist with daily shipping and receiving duties, inventory control, and various warehouse support tasks. This hands-on role offers great stability and the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the flow of materials in and out of the warehouse
• Receive deliveries, inspect for damage, and verify contents
• Pack and ship materials to vendors or customers, including hazardous materials
• Use inventory tracking software to log and monitor stock levels
• Collaborate with warehouse leadership on daily priorities and projects
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols
• Ensure data accuracy when recording shipment and inventory information

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of experience in warehouse operations or shipping/receiving
• Familiarity with inventory systems (Deltek or similar software preferred)
• Capable of lifting 50+ lbs and navigating warehouse equipment such as ladders
• Forklift experience strongly preferred
• Dependable, team-oriented, and able to follow detailed instructions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Additional Details:

• Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (100% onsite)
• Clearance: U.S. citizenship required; eligibility for federal security clearance preferred (not required for hire)
• Interview Process: Multi-step process including phone screen, online skills assessment, onsite interview, and references
• Background Check: 7-year criminal background screening required
