Denton, TX is hiring LVNs! This is a Psych/Behavioral Health facility working with patients with intellectual disabilities.

Duties: Passing meds, assessments, charting, LTC

Need: Psych LPN/LVN with minimum 2 years experience

Must have no past misdemeanors or past discipline on license

Length of Contract: 26 weeks

Pay :$42/HR-$44/HR

Shifts: 6a-2p or 2p-10p (40 hours a week). Occasional 7-7 shifts available.

Job Duties:

• Administers medications and treatments orally, rectally, internally, or by injection .
• Documents and reports pertinent observations
• Communicates orally and in writing to other team members’ pertinent information. Documents according to facility policy.
• Manages individual’s medical record in Electronic Health Record or paper chart.
• Assists other staff in turning/repositioning individuals to administer treatments

Job Requirements for all candidates:

• Must be licensed LVN and able to practice in Texas
• Preferably 2+ year experience
• Experience needs to be in LTC passing meds to 20+ patients

Responsibility:

• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by the physician
• Perform patient assessments and document findings accurately in the electronic medical record system
• Work with individuals with developmental disabilities in a compassionate and supportive manner

Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

- Comfortable working with patients with behaviors

Requirements:

• Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in Texas or Compact State
• BLS certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Pass FBI Fingerprint Background Check and Drug Screen
