The selected candidate will collaborate closely with a team of attorneys and legal assistants to ensure cases move efficiently through the litigation and foreclosure pipelines. This role includes administrative support, document preparation, calendaring, filing, and opportunities to grow into more advanced drafting responsibilities over time.

This position is ideal for candidates with 1–3 years of legal support experience , including those coming from litigation, clerking, foreclosure, or title environments.

  • Maintain and update case lists, spreadsheets, calendars, and hearing schedules.
  • Track deadlines for both defensive and bank-side litigation matters.
  • Coordinate service of process follow-ups, filings, and document recordings.

Document Preparation & Drafting

  • Draft, proofread, and format legal correspondence, notices, foreclosure documents, and title materials.
  • Support attorneys with preparing filings and document packets.
  • Gain the opportunity to expand into drafting more advanced litigation documents (e.g., motions), depending on performance and development.

Communication & Client Interface

  • Respond promptly and professionally to high volumes of email communication.
  • Provide frequent status updates to clients and maintain accurate case information in multiple systems.
  • Interact with borrowers, lenders, internal teams, and outside parties in a courteous and efficient manner.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Schedule remote hearings and assist with meeting court-imposed deadlines.
  • Support attorneys with calendar maintenance, follow-ups, and daily workflow coordination.
  • Assist with newly acquired client projects involving large volumes of debt‑related breach-of-contract work.

Qualifications

Required

  • 1–3 years of legal assistant, litigation support, clerkship, or similar experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational ability, with capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, meet deadlines, and work well in a team-driven setting.

Preferred

  • Experience with foreclosure, title work, or bank-side litigation.
  • Familiarity with managing multiple case management systems.
  • Interest in developing more advanced drafting experience.

Work Environment & Additional Details

  • Work Schedule:
  • Onsite in the Long Beach Office (Hybrid schedule could be offered)
  • Paralegal Certificate:
  • Not required.
  • Tuition reimbursement is available upon completion if the candidate chooses to pursue it.
  • Culture:
  • The attorneys value positivity, initiative, and team-first collaboration.
  • Growth Opportunities:
  • As candidates become proficient with administrative processes, they will be given opportunities for more complex drafting and litigation support responsibilities.
