Job Description

Role summary

As a Sr. UX Writer focused on the in-vehicle experience and mobile app, you’ll work closely with product designers and engineers to shape the user experience through content and copy. You’ll have the opportunity to impact how users interact with their vehicles, designing new features, as well as iterating on the existing in-vehicle experience.

Responsibilities

-Work in partnership with our design, product and engineering teams, contributing to active work tracks, from strategy to concepting to production.

-Balance expression of our brand voice with UX principles, thinking strategically about how we’re guiding users

-Helping to shape the user experience and design experiences that are unique

-Become an expert in our products—you’ll take the complex and translate it into clear, approachable language.

-Work within and expand our copy system—creating a consistent copy experience across the ecosystem.

-Pitch in here and there on other writerly projects—such as naming or defining how we position new features.

The kind of writer you are:

-You get satisfaction in shaping digital experiences through words.

-Enjoy writing a splashy headline just as much as a perfectly on-brand CTA.

-You’re comfortable weighing in on UX and helping to shape the experience.

-You think big picture and sweat the details.

-You’re comfortable with conjuring definition from ambiguity.

-You’re collaborative, proactive and enjoy solving problems.

-You’re not afraid to ask why. A lot.

-You’re okay with cutting the Oxford comma out of your life.

Qualifications

-5+ years of experience writing for brands and digital products

-A portfolio highlighting your digital product experience, with end-to-end flows featuring smart and engaging copy

-Experience with Figma, Google suite, Jira and Confluence

-Comfort with presenting your work, explaining your thinking and working with others to bring your vision to life.

-Familiarity with research to define verbal strategy.

-Appreciation for testing and iterating on work.

-Ability to pick things up quickly, juggle multiple projects and adapt to shifting timelines and priorities.
