A growing legal department with a logistics company in Irvine is seeking an in-house litigation paralegal with defense-side litigation experience.
This litigation paralegal will be responsible for in-house litigation, for defense-side general liability and employment law cases
Responsibilities of Role :
o Legal holds – initiating in CasePoint
o Subpoenas – responding to them and sending them out
o eDiscovery – gathering/collecting/retaining documents
o Investigations – asking high level questions, obtaining documents from accidents / internal teams
· Software: Bright Flag Workspaces and Case Point, plus MS Office Suite.
Pay is contingent upon experience with the duties above.
Must-Have Requirements :
1. Civil litigation experience on the defense side, familiar with litigation process of a case (intake to trial) and knowing what questions to ask about a case - cannot train on this!
2. Familiarity with property damage, auto accidents, PI, employment law would be great!
3. Experience communicating with outside counsel in a professional manner
4. Ability to commute to Irvine (near SNA) daily, at least to start. Please do not apply if you do not reside in Orange County!
