Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable houseman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of our hotel’s public areas, supporting the housekeeping staff, and assisting with guest services. The houseman should have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while following company and brand standards.

Core Job Responsibilities & Duties

Public Area Maintenance

  • Maintain cleanliness and order of all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, and restrooms
  • Clean and polish furniture, fixtures, and mirrors
  • Vacuum and mop floors
  • Empty trash cans and ashtrays

Housekeeping Support

  • Assist housekeeping staff with tasks such as removing trash and linen
  • Move furniture and supplies
  • Clean guest rooms as needed

Guest Services

  • Assist front desk agents with guest requests, such as delivering luggage or packages
  • Assist with guest inquiries
  • Provide general assistance as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and reach

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualification Standards & Company Requirements

  • Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to tolerate environmental factors such as humidity, cold/heat, dust and noise
  • Physically able to work from ladders, move furniture, operate cleaning equipment, and tolerate exposure to general cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
