Job Description

We are conducting a search for a Global Quality Engineering Manager to lead global quality initiatives for a world class electronics manufacturer serving industries such as medical, semiconductor, scientific, and industrial systems.

In this high impact, customer facing role, you will collaborate across global teams to strengthen quality systems, resolve complex technical issues, and drive continuous improvement. This position offers a hybrid work model based in Suffolk County, NY.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Product Quality

  • Lead resolution of customer issues and product quality investigations.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Sales, and Service teams to deliver quality-driven solutions.
  • Manage and drive product improvement initiatives globally.

Strategic Planning & KPI Management

  • Support development and execution of global quality goals, objectives, and KPIs.
  • Implement data-driven strategies to improve overall product and process performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Engage with APQP/NPI teams to ensure design-for-quality in early product development.
  • Partner with manufacturing and service teams to enhance reliability and manufacturability.

Supplier Quality Management

  • Develop and oversee supplier quality systems to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to monitor and improve supplier performance.

Root Cause & Reliability Analysis

  • Lead CAPA activities using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, and statistical analysis.
  • Conduct failure analysis and lead reliability evaluations of components and assemblies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years in senior-level engineering or quality roles.
  • Experience with regulated quality systems: ISO 13485, AS9100, FDA, MDR, or IATF 16949 .
  • Strong knowledge of Six Sigma , FMEA , PPAP , Gage R&R , and Statistical Process Control (SPC) .
  • Excellent project management and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills and experience with global/multicultural teams.
