Job Description

About

A leading oil and gas waste disposal facility is seeking an experienced Environmental, Safety, and Waste (ESW) Manager to support day to day operations at their Chambers County, Texas facility. The facility provides waste disposal of drilling, production, remediation, and NORM non-hazardous wastes. The facility has operated since 1998 on a 24/7 basis and provides services for local, national, and international oil and gas clients.

Job Summary

The ESW Manager will lead and develop environmental, safety, and waste programs to ensure operations meet regulatory requirements, permits, and company programs. The Manager will work closely with management and site staff to align compliance and operational objectives and initiate improvements as needed.

Responsibilities

· Conduct regular inspections and monitor site conditions

· Oversee site personnel and activities for compliance

· Manage OSHA programs, supervisors and training

· Oversee RRC permits and regulatory requirements

· Coordinate waste acceptance practices with site staff

· Review new and existing regulatory programs for compliance requirements

· Write and maintain environmental and safety procedures

· Support audits, client questionnaires, and site visits

· Recommend and coordinate changes with management as needed

Basic Qualifications

· 5+ years of OSHA/safety experience

· 5+ years of oil and gas industry experience

· 4+ years environmental regulations and compliance experience

· Experience interpreting regulatory documents and developing related programs

· Experience supervising staff and managing company programs

· Able to take initiative on both new and ongoing issues

· Proficient in MS Excel and Word

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

Additional Qualifications

· Familiarity with oil and gas wastes

· Familiarity with NORM (naturally occurring radioactive material) and radiation safety

· Familiarity with groundwater sampling procedures

Compensation

· Negotiable

· Full-time, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

· 3 weeks paid vacation per year

· No other benefits
