Universe Carrier Inc. is a fast-growing Chicago-based trucking company focused on performance, safety, and driver satisfaction. We're seeking a results-driven Driver Recruiting Manager to lead and scale our driver recruitment efforts across the Midwest and beyond. Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the driver recruiting team (company drivers and owner-operators)
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies using Tenstreet, job boards, referrals, and social media
• Optimize and monitor recruiting funnel performance (applicant to hire ratios, lead conversion, etc.)
• Coordinate with operations and safety for onboarding, compliance, and retention
• Build and maintain partnerships with CDL training schools and trucking communities
• Ensure recruiting meets DOT/FMCSA regulations and company standards
• Analyze and report weekly KPIs (hires, cost-per-hire, turnover, etc.)

• 3+ years of experience recruiting CDL drivers (Class A required)
• 1+ year in a supervisory or management role in recruiting
• Strong understanding of FMCSA/DOT compliance
• Experience with recruiting software (Tenstreet, DriverReach, or similar)
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish, Ukrainian, or Russian is a strong plus

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Driver Recruiter located in Huntley, IL. The Driver Recruiter will be responsible for tasks related to DOT Regulations, hiring drivers, driver retention, communication, and customer service. The role involves recruiting and retaining qualified drivers, ensuring compliance with DOT Regulations, and providing exceptional customer service.
