Base Salary of $110-125k depending on experience +10% bonus eligibility. Car allowance provided. Competitive benefits provided.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscaping, Business, or related
- 7+ years progressive experience in landscaping industry
- Proven history developing and leading high performing teams
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization including senior executives, board members and external partners
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills

Job Summary
The Director of Exterior Services leads all aspects of the Landscaping Division's operations within an assigned region, including maintenance, enhancements, seasonal services, and snow operations where applicable. This role ensures consistent delivery of high-quality landscape maintenance, enhancements, and snow removal services across diverse commercial portfolios. This role drives client satisfaction, operational excellence, team development, and financial performance.
Roles and Responsibilities
Operations
- Lead Operations Managers in executing daily landscaping operations including scheduling, labor planning, material management and equipment allocations
- Oversee Account Managers to ensure client expectations are met, contractual services are performed and that budgeted renewal goals are achieved
- Review contracts to confirm scope, timelines and deliverables are aligned with operational execution
- Lead issue resolution, manage escalations and ensure timely responses to customer inquiries
- Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices to improve service quality and efficiency
- Ensure full compliance with safety standards, contract specifications and horticultural best practices
- Review, manage and analyze operational trackers and reports to ensure accuracy, performance monitoring and informed decision-making
- Oversee efficient use and maintenance of departmental assets, including vehicles, tools and equipment Negotiate and procure subcontractor agreements to meet margin demand
- Monitor industry trends and attend events to identify innovations and opportunities that enhance competitive advantage
- Additional projects and team support at needed
Leadership and Employee Engagement
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives and programs, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets and objectives; identifying and mitigating risks that may impact the team’s ability to achieve its goals or objectives
- Develop and lead high performing teams through strategic talent acquisition, mentorship, training and succession planning to position Continuum as an employer of choice
- Provide strong leadership to team members, setting clear expectations, goals, and performance standards; establish key performance indicators and metrics to measure the teams’ performance and effectiveness
- Support the performance management process by collaborating with team members to establish departmental and organizational goals, monitor and evaluate progress and performance, conduct reviews, provide regular feedback, and address performance issues or concerns as needed
- Engage in employee relations by way of resolving conflict between team members and conducting employee investigations, issuing corrective actions based on findings in a fair and constructive manner
- Foster a culture of accountability, empowerment, and engagement among team members in a positive and inclusive work environment in alignment with the company’s core values: Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence
Business Development and Financial Management
- Collaborate with Accounting and Operations to track and report departmental performance metrics, including productivity, margins and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Develop annual budgets, goals and forecasts in alignment with company objectives
- Oversee the accuracy and eligibility of estimating processes and new contracts
- Monitor and review job costing, labor utilization and Profit and Losses (P&Ls) to ensure financial targets are met
- Collaborate with the sales and business development team in client and board meetings to support growth and secure new business
- Collaborate with sales team and estimators to review bids, ensure accurate pricing and drive new business growth
