West Coast (Remote)

Salary Range: $250,000-275,000

About the Job

A leading private credit manager is looking to add a Director of Capital Formation, covering the Western US region, to their quickly growing team! The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the firm's capital formation activities and will play a key role in driving the growth of the business.

Director of Capital Formation Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a proactive and results-driven capital formation strategy to raise capital from institutional investors across the Western US region
• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential investors, presenting investment opportunities and effectively articulating the value proposition of the firm
• Collaborate closely with the investment team to understand the unique selling points of our portfolio companies and effectively communicate these to prospective investors.
• Represent the firm on roadshows, industry events, and conferences
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact fund raising efforts, adjusting strategies as needed.

Director of Capital Formation Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with a finance/marketing/economics concentration (MBA preferred)
• Minimum 8-10+ years of experience in capital formation, with a strong background in private credit or private equity
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex investment concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude
• Demonstrated track record of successfully raising capital and closing deals in a competitive fund raising environment.
• Strong network within the LP community of the Western US
