Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Club Promoter and coordinator for our premier fitness club in Ridgewood, NJ. As a Club Promoter, you will play a key role in organizing and promoting events for our health club. In this position, you will be responsible for developing brand awareness through targeted promotions and collaborating with company leadership to stay current on product knowledge and sales promotions. You will engage directly with audiences to create lasting impressions, coordinate promotional campaigns, and provide insight into our brand values. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter that is disciplined and passionate about building brand awareness and generating sales revenue. Part-time, full-time and flexible availability.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize and promote regular events to build loyal clientele.
  • Enhance the club’s reputation through strategic promotions.
  • Promote and represent Fitometry’s brand and services at events, exhibitions, and other promotional settings
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, schools, and community organizations to establish partnerships and promote our club.
  • Develop and implement effective promotional strategies to increase event attendance.
  • Engage directly with audiences to create lasting impressions, and generate sales leads
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to develop strategies for increased brand visibility
  • Grassroot distribution of promotional materials to reach local audiences.
  • Promote events by brainstorming, planning, implementing, and directing event marketing, communication, and promotion
  • Gather feedback from clients and event participants to improve future campaigns
  • Educate prospects on the services and values Fitometry provides
  • Maintain a consistent and professional appearance and attitude that reflects Fitometry’s values
  • Overcome objections by utilizing proven, industry leading sales techniques and training resources.
  • Submit sales leads at the conclusion of each shift or event. 
  • Meet predetermined performance goals for each event as well as other KPIs
  • Organize efforts like flyer distribution and social media campaigns into a cohesive public relations (PR) strategy.
  • Promote events through social media, email, and face-to-face communication
  • Attend networking events to develop partnerships
  • Develop and implement marketing plans and events strategies; target markets, and promotional opportunities

Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of direct marketing and advertising strategies, as well as excellent persuading abilities
  • A strong aptitude for networking and socializing and/or experience in event organization and crowd attraction
  • Great sales, marketing, and networking skills
  • Outgoing personality and excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent multitasking, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer-Focused: Enthusiastic about engaging with clients and understanding their needs.
  • Adaptable and Resourceful: Able to handle various types of events and adapt strategies on the spot.
  • Detail-Oriented: Able to keep track of promotional materials, client information, and event logistics.
  • Problem-Solving: Able to handle unexpected situations and find quick solutions.
  • Ability to actively listen and rebut objections and/or answer questions regarding the performance or quality of the product
  • Access to reliable transportation for scheduled shifts or events.
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a “roll up your sleeves” mentality. 
  • Motivated self-starter, with the ability to surpass goals and be self-disciplined.
  • Experience in various marketing and promotion methods is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or admin is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in promotions, sales, retail, marketing, or related fields
