Warbird Healthcare Advisors has an exciting opportunity for a Chief Nursing Officer to provide leadership and direction of Nursing Services within a healthcare system. Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Nursing Officer has key responsibilities for strategy, clinical oversight, operational management, and quality improvement, as well as serves on the senior management team, participating in governance activities at the Board Level.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plans for, develops, and effectively manages departmental budget such that resources are deployed effectively and efficiently, and achieves strategic objectives
• Ensures compliance with rules and regulations related to all regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
• Establishes and implements policies, objectives, and procedures for monitoring and maintaining quality within the departments.
• Develops and implements nursing strategies in alignment with organization’s mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives for growth and high-quality care.
• Monitors and implements service standards and processes to improve patient satisfaction and to reach the targeted outcomes for patient satisfaction.
• Provides direct supervision and support to nursing services provided within the system by ensuring nursing staff are compliant with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with medical and administrative staff to ensure delivery of coordinated, effective, and patient-centered health care.
• Accountable for nursing practice, quality, and performance improvements in respected areas.
• Serves as an effective coach in recognizing and supporting individual team member strengths and talents.
• Manages performance of staff through continuing education, effective delegation and ongoing coaching and counseling.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor or high degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program. Candidate will have 2 years from date of hire to complete this requirement.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required. RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
• Progressive clinical management experience of at least 5-8 years.
• Must be able to facilitate problem-solving and decision-making.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have the ability to deal effectively with physicians, patients, staff, external customers, and other health care workers.
