Sorellina at The Divine Lorraine is a fun, casual aperitivo bar and pizzeria from  chefs Joe and Angela Cicala inside the historic Divine Lorraine Hotel. We offer aperitivo-style small bites along with antipasti, and a variety of contemporary-style Neapolitan pizzas. Our beverage program features Italian-style bitter cocktails, imported Italian and local beer, along with a large selection of wines by the glass and bo ttle , and an extensive amaro program.

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
• Take customer orders accurately and provide recommendations based on preferences.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
• Monitor inventory levels of supplies and communicate needs to management.
• Comply with health and safety regulations, including food handling practices.
• Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere while providing exceptional service.
• Assist with training new staff members as needed.

Skills

• Proficient in food handling practices to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Strong cash handling skills with experience in managing cash registers effectively.
• Knowledge of retail math for accurate pricing and transactions.
• Background in food service or the food industry is preferred.
• Sales skills to promote menu items and increase customer satisfaction.
• Experience working in a restaurant setting is advantageous.
• Basic math skills for calculating bills and processing payments efficiently.

• Outgoing and friendly, with a positive attitude
• Dependable, and hard-working with a willingness to learn
• Able to work within a team
• Professional in demeanor and manner
• Prepared to demonstrate fine dining etiquette & formal service styles as needed 
• Famiiliar with Toast POS, and/or Resy
• Part time, with availability on weekends
• RAMP certified
• ServSafe certified
